A Nebo man with warrants in Burke was found with meth after an alarm activation at an elementary school, authorities said Friday.
Deputy Jesse Hicks of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Frankie Dakota Noles, 25, of 52 Jenny Lind Drive in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine and resisting a public officer. He was also charged with an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Burke County.
On Thursday, March 2, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Hicks responded to an alarm activation at Nebo Elementary School. He found Noles walking in front of the school. A check for warrants turned up the failure to appear in Burke County.
As Hicks tried to take Noles into custody, the suspect fled and a short foot chase ensued before the deputy apprehended Noles.
A search of Noles’ person revealed that he had .30 gram of methamphetamine.
Noles was given a $12,500 bond.
