A raid on a local residence Wednesday turned up wanted suspects, drugs and a cache of weapons.

Investigators with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office received a tip Wednesday afternoon that 37-year-old Joseph Lee Ingle, of 15 Old Neal Road in Marion, was at a home on 45 Tomahawk Trail. Ingle was wanted in McDowell on nine counts of failing to appear in court on break-in charges filed by Lt. Andy Manis.

They arrived at the residence to find Ingle and two others who had outstanding warrants: 40-year-old Christy Leigh Beaver, of 49 Meadow Ridge Drive in Marion, who was wanted on a parole violation, and 40-year-old Jamie Shawn Silver, of 11 Smith Hill Drive in Marion, who was wanted on three probation violations.

All three were taken into custody.

The home at 45 Tomahawk Trail belongs to 46-year-old Christopher Mark Arrowood.

Capt. Shanon Smith said deputies found methamphetamine paraphernalia on some of the suspects and saw guns in plain view inside the house. Knowing that Arrowood is a convicted felon, he was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. On Arrowood’s person, detectives located methamphetamine, paraphernalia and $750 in cash.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence and seized 76 grams of methamphetamine and 23 firearms, both long guns and pistols.

“We also located a stolen generator, and we are continuing to investigate the possibility of some of the guns being stolen,” said Smith.

In addition to the possession of a firearm by a felon offense, Arrowood was also charged with possession of methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance.

During the raid, 26-year-old Christopher Dwayne Lawing, of 500 Rockhouse Road in Marion, showed up and was charged on an outstanding warrant of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Ingle received a $150,000 bond; Silver received a $35,000 bond; Arrowood received a $125,000 bond; Lawing received a $15,000 bond and Beaver received no bond pending a hearing on parole violation.
