Local agencies, responders and community members are invited to a dinner and meeting tomorrow to discuss possible safety tips in regards to this year’s fire season.
The Linville Falls Mountain Club is hosting a Wildfire Season Community Dinner on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. discuss what can be done to prepare families and properties for fire season, and the community can work together to reduce our risk.
October means falls and a drier time of year with many falling leaves. Although beautiful, such conditions can lead to uncontrolled fire. Wildfire is becoming more common across our region, and when fires start, there is little time to evacuate your family and protect your property.
Linville Falls Mountain Club is located on Hwy 221 N at 210 Blue Ridge Drive N, Marion. Free dinner to first 60 people. This program is hosted by Mountain Valleys Resource Conservation & Development, Inc.
