Marion City Council to meet Tuesday

The Marion City Council will consider a new taxicab business for Marion and clearing away dilapidated structures at the first regular meeting for April.

The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Hall.

The first item will be honoring the Citizen of the Month as selected by Mayor Steve Little. The mayor is also scheduled to give a special presentation.

A public hearing is scheduled to hear comments about the operation of a taxicab in Marion.

The public comment period will follow. This is the time when the public can speak to council about any issue or item not on the agenda.

Council members will then consider approving ordinances to start condemnation procedures for dilapidated structures. They will also talk about the statewide Transportation Improvement Program projects and schedule pre-budget and budget workshops.

City Manager Bob Boyette will give his report to council.
