Authorities believe this man caught on surveillance is responsible for passing or attempting to pass $100 bills in at least five city and county businesses.
On Monday, Nov. 27, an unidentified suspect attempted to make a $500 purchase at Dollar General in Nebo. However, a test of the bills revealed they were bogus and the cashier returned them. That same day, he attempted to pass six of the bills at Dollar General in Dysartsville and was again turned away.
On Monday, Dec. 4, he managed to pass five $100 bills at Dollar General in P.G.
Marion police officers also think he is responsible for dishing out fake money at Dollar General on East Court Street and at Food Lion.
The suspect is described as a young black man with a medium build who stands approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and was wearing a black pullover shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
