Authorities said Friday they arrested and charged an Old Fort man on possessing heroin and other drugs at Rue 21 in Marion.

Officer Nathaniel Greene of the Marion Police Department charged Leo Justin Curtis, 29, of 547 Woodsong Drive, Old Fort, with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin and carrying a concealed weapon.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to Rue 21 on Sugar Hill Road in reference to a subject causing a disturbance. According to Lt. James Harklerode of Marion P.D., the suspect, Curtis, was found to have active warrants for his arrest.

During arrest, officers located the following items: four grams of methamphetamine, 0.5 grams of heroin, an undisclosed amount of Fentanyl and Suboxone, as well as brass knuckles.

Curtis received a $102,500 bond.
