A Marion man was arrested and charged after officers found brass knuckles and almost three grams of meth during a vehicle stop, according to reports.

Officer Caleb Duyck of the Marion Police Department charged Nelson William Last Jr., 37, of Turner Street in Marion with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a concealed weapon and driving while license revoked.

On July 8 at approximately 12:25 p.m., officers stopped a 1982 Suzuki, driven by Last, at Depot Street. According to arrest reports, a search of the vehicle uncovered a glass pipe containing white residue, a clear bag containing a white crystal substance – determined to be 2.86 grams of meth – and a pair of brass knuckles.

Last received an $11,000 bond.
