Authorities said Wednesday they arrested a Marion man and charged him with stealing from his neighbor and trying to sell her items.

Sgt. Detective Rick Gutierrez of the Marion Police Department charged Bobby Joe Hudson, 40, of Carolina Avenue, Marion with breaking or entering, larceny after breaking or entering and attempting to obtain property under false pretense.

On Thursday, June 30, Lisa Hudson Williams, 48, of Carolina Avenue Ext., Marion, reported that an unknown subject had broken into her storage shed and stolen over $420 worth of personal items, including four CB radios and microphones, a hunting bow, knives, hunting clothes and a jewelry box containing gold and silver.

According to Lt. Rusty Jenkins of the Marion Police Department, it was discovered that Hudson had attempted to sell Williams’ CB radios and equipment for $30 to $40 to The Man Cave in Marion.

Hudson was subsequently arrested on Friday, Sept. 16 after interviews were conducted. He is being held under a $5,000 bond.
