A Marion woman was arrested and charged after deputies found over five grams of meth and pills in her car during a search, authorities said Monday.

Detective Patrick Guion of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Diamond Montana Noles, 18, of 128 Franklin Ave. in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Guion received information on Monday, Oct. 23 that there was drug activity in the parking lot of Walmart.

Investigators responded and observed, and a subsequent search of Noles and her vehicle turned up 5.1 grams of methamphetamine, 10 Lorazepam pills and a syringe.

Noles received a $17,000 bond.
