A Marion woman was arrested and charged after a traffic stop uncovered over nine grams of meth, authorities said Wednesday.

Deputy Steven McPeters of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Samantha Lynn Molina, 28, of 265 Great Hill Drive in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine.

At 1:39 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, McPeters stopped a Honda Civic on U.S. 70 West because the registration was revoked. Molina was found to be driving the car with a suspended license.

A subsequent search of the suspect and the vehicle turned up 9.10 grams of methamphetamine.

Molina received a $10,000 bond.
