The Glenwood Community Christmas parade was held Saturday afternoon and lots of people young and old enjoyed the long and lively procession. All kinds of civic groups, churches, businesses and organizations took part in the annual parade sponsored by the Glenwood Ruritan Club. Many children and teens came away with lots of candy that was tossed out from the trucks and floats in the parade. In addition, the crafts fair was held at Glenwood Elementary. There were also kid’s activities and inflatables at Glenwood Baptist Church. Concession stands sold hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy, funnel cakes, popcorn, hot chocolate and shaved ice. The celebration concluded with fireworks that were shot off near Glenwood Elementary.
