Nebo Elementary students had a Christmas celebration on Monday. Students traveled to different stations where they colored gingerbread men that will be placed on the trays for residents at Autumn Care on Christmas Day. They also made a snowman ornament, read books with Mrs. Claus, created their own elf name, sat on Santa’s lap and received a free book. During the afternoon, the whole school gathered for a sing-a-long and Principal Desarae Kirkpatrick had a few surprises up her sleeve for students and staff. “This is a time for the whole school family to come together and celebrate,” said Kirkpatrick. Also, on Monday, Kirkpatrick received her own surprise during the sing-a-long by being named Northwest Regional Principal of the Year.
