West Marion students brought home a present for themselves and their family during the school’s annual Santa Shop. The toys were donated by Toys for Tots, churches and individuals and parents. Volunteers, Early College students and teachers wrapped each gift for the students to take home to put under the tree. Alyssa Camby, 8, picked out some cucumber melon body wash for her mom. “I use all her body wash, and I picked out a remote-control car for myself,” she said. Her favorite part of Christmas is spending time with her family. Volunteer Joyce Thompson was helping to wrap gifts, and said she wouldn’t miss this event for anything. “I’m glad they do this for the kids,” she said.
