Lowe’s Inc. said Tuesday it plans to hire 200 full-time employees at its Mooresville headquarters to work with flooring sales departments in stores nationwide.
The new employees, all in supervisory or coordinator roles, will be part of Lowe's new Central Quoting team based here. The new employees will prepare flooring installation quotes for Lowe’s stores across the U.S.
"These responsibilities were previously handled by store employees," Lowe's spokesperson Steve Salazar told the Tribune. "By centralizing the administrative tasks of providing quotes for installation projects in Mooresville, we are able to provide store employees with the opportunity to spend less time on administrative work and more time interacting with customers."
Lowe’s is also currently hiring more than 200 full-time employees to further expand the company’s Wilkesboro-based central production office.
Lowe’s said it has hired more than 23,000 employees in North Carolina this year.
