Scrolling through Facebook’s events section to look for things to do is one of my biggest joys.
You never know what you’ll see.
Over the years, I’ve found dozens of free, live concerts, an assortment of costume parties and tons of food truck events designed for those of us who love food.
An event posted by Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville recently made me make a noise I imagine only a 5 year old, who is looking at her baby sibling for the first time makes: “Awe....”
That’s all I could say when I saw the group’s Kitten Baby Shower being held this Saturday, from noon to 5 p.m., at the rescue’s Glendale Avenue location in Asheville.
The idea of buying itty, bitty, little things for itty, bitty little things made my heart palpatate.
Miniature bottles, heating pads to keep newborn kittens warm and formula were just a few of the items on the rescue’s wish list.
Guests that attend Saturday’s event can learn more about becoming kitty foster parents, training feral cats and adopting a puurfect cat of their own.
They’ll also have a chance to take part in some fantastic games and of course cuddle with some pretty kitties.
I guess from this column, you can tell I’m an animal lover. If you like the idea of buying super cool items for critters in need, then I suggest you make plans to attend Brother Wolf Animal Rescue’s Kitten Baby Shower.
It’s a unique event designed to help those that can’t help themselves. Can’t make the shower? Baby shower items can be ordered and shipped to the rescue from https://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/1D6O5I6KVG4YM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_ws_iWzTyb3WY94NC
