More than 300 works of art from the creative minds of Old Fort Elementary students will be displayed, and available for purchase during the school’s Art Extravaganza.

The event is set for Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the gym at Old Fort and will feature works from each student at the school, a bake sale, drum circle, performing arts, basket raffles and more.

All of the proceeds go to support the art program at the school.

“We need to raise lots of money to buy lots of paint,” said art instructor Stephanie Lindley. “Last year was very successful.”

There will be a variety of watercolors, charcoal art, a weaving loom, movie posters and murals, even renditions of works by Andy Warhol and Monet.

All of the children’s art will be available for purchase for a small donation.

“We sold a lot last year. It’s fun, the kids have a really good time,” said Lindley.
