U.S. Rep. Mark Meadows will pay a visit to Marion Monday morning and meet with his constituents here to find out about their needs and concerns.

Meadows, a Republican from Cashiers, is the congressman for the 11th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was elected last year to fill the U.S. House seat that was vacated by Democrat Heath Shuler.

At 10 a.m. Monday, Meadows will hold a “meet and greet” with local constituents at the Chance of Sprinkles Bakeshop at 1700 N. Main St., according to a news release from his office.

The Chance of Sprinkles Bakeshop is located on the five lane beside Smokey Que’s.

After that, Meadows will travel north to Avery County where he will take part in an event at Avery High School in Newland at noon. At 6 p.m, Monday, Meadows will hold a town hall event at at Mayland Community College in Mitchell County.
