Three Marion men were charged with stealing a motorcycle and selling it in another county.
Detective Andy Manis of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 18-year-old Nathan Daniel Beatty, of State Street Extension in Marion; 27-year-old Calvin Ray Washington Jr., of Grayson Street in Marion; and 27-year-old Quron Edward White, of Highland Drive in Marion, all with felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods.
On June 4, John Hollifield, of Huskins Branch Road in Marion, reported that someone stole a 2003 Honda motorcycle, valued at $2,000, from his property.
Manis said the bike was sold to a man in Rutherford County and recovered from Rutherford County.
The victim and suspects are not acquainted.
They were all released on a written promise to appear in court. A photo of Beatty was available from the sheriff’s office.
