The McDowell County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday evening that McGinnis has been taken into custody.
Investigators with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office are looking for Rebecca Leanne McGinnis, 30, who does not have a permanent address. She is wanted on one count of assault with a deadly weapon that stems from a stabbing on April 4.
McGinnis and Apolonio Jimenes Castillo, 47, of Apache Path in Marion, who are friends, got into an argument that day. Det. Andy Manis said McGinnis pulled a folding pocket knife and stabbed Castillo once in the chest.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the hospital.
McGinnis is described as a white female, who stands 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 185 pounds. She has long brown wavy hair and blue eyes.
