The McDowell County Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday they are partnering with Lenoir-Rhyne University to offer chamber members and employees tuition discounts and other benefits.

The discounts apply to Lenoir-Rhyne’s master degrees or adult learner bachelor’s degree programs. The university promotes their programs as personalized, affordable and designed for working professionals with locations in downtown Asheville and Hickory in the evenings or online.

The discounts include 10 percent off tuition, a waived application fee and waived admissions tests for qualified applications.

Masters of Business programs available for the off-campus courses include concentrations in general MBA, accounting, business analytics and information technology, innovation and change management, healthcare administration, leadership development, global business, athletic training, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies and entrepreneurship. Other programs include MBA’s in non-profit management, social entrepreneurship, counseling, public health, sustainability studies, writing, narrative medicine and dietetic internship. Business administration, criminal justice and RN to BSN is available in the adult learner bachelor’s degree program.

Masters programs completely available online include MBA’s in seven concentrations, non-profit management, social entrepreneurship, community college administration, exercise science, human service, leadership, nursing, online teaching and instructional design, teaching and university leadership.
