Two people have been charged with breaking into a home twice, authorities said on Tuesday.

Det. Jason Grindstaff of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Mollie Elizabeth Broadwell McDaniel, 49, of Charlie Drive in Marion, and Michael Scott Nicols, 36, of Ridge Street in Marion, with two felony counts each of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny.

Danny Sheline, of Black Mountain, reported on April 2 and 4, someone entered a house on Woody Street and stole antique china, a video game system, an antique radio, a heater, a push mower, a ladder and a clock with a total value of $2,300.

Grindstaff’s investigation led to McDaniel and Nichols.

They were both taken into custody in lieu of $5,000 bonds each.
