GREENSBORO — Police are investigating a third weekend shooting that happened late Sunday night.

Officers responded to 2312 Randleman Road at 11:54 p.m.. They found the victim who was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

The first shooting happened early Saturday morning when a Greensboro man was fatally shot at 315 W. Camel St. 

Willie Edward Davis, 31, was arrested in the death of 34-year-old Dexter Cornelius Brown. Police believe Davis got into a fight with Brown about 1:30 a.m. Davis pulled a gun during the fight and shot Brown, who later died from his wounds, according to police.

The second shooting happened in the 3900 block of Marchester Way later Saturday morning. 

Richard Lamar Shearin Jr., 25, of Roanoke Rapids, was found by police suffering from gunshot wounds after they responded to an unknown problem call about 7:20 a.m., according to a news release. He later died from his wounds.

Police have not identified a suspect or motive in Shearin's killing.

The killings raised Greensboro's number of homicides for the year to 18.
