HIGH POINT — A Bible college in High Point has put its campus on the market and is hoping to move.

The High Point Enterprise reported today that John Wesley University is hoping to move its operations elsewhere in High Point.

The college’s 21-acre campus on Eastchester Drive is listed at $2.8 million by Guilford Realty Group in Greensboro.

According to the listing, the site includes a classroom building, five single-family homes, a 12-unit apartment building and a lake.

The school opened in Greensboro in 1903 as Greensboro Bible and Training School. It changed its name to John Wesley College in 1959 and moved to its current High Point location in 1980.

The school changed its name to Laurel University in 2011 and became John Wesley University last summer.

As of 2015, the school had about 160 students and offered several undergraduate and graduate programs, including ministry, theology, music, counseling and business.
