The Titan Greenhouse is having its annual spring sale through the month of April.

Fourteen sophomores in the occupational course of study purchased a plethora of flowers and vegetables from Banner Greenhouse for the sale. There is a variety of potable flowers and hanging baskets with petunias, begonias, sunflowers, snapdragons, and many more.

“It’s fun to work outside and help Mr. Young make vegetables and plants for people who want them. It’s fun to plant stuff,” said student TJ Watkins.

Among the vegetables for sale include tomatoes, watermelon, jalapenos and banana peppers that are ready for planting.

All of the proceeds from the sale go back into the program for field trips, supplies and materials.

“And, it’s mostly about the students getting work experience,” said Exceptional Children teacher Thomas Young. “These kids run the sale by handling the money, carrying out and loading plants for the customers.”

The sale begins on Tuesday and will run through the month of April from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the Titan Greenhouse located behind the baseball field.
