Cindy Epley Tollison MARION Cindy Epley Tollison, 51, of Marion, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at St. Joseph Campus-Memorial Mission Hospitals in Asheville. A native of McDowell County, Cindy was born March 18, 1962, and was a daughter of the late James C. "Buddy" Epley and Eleanor Grayson Epley. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marion. Cindy was a kind and caring person who always tried to help others in need. She was employed with Catawba Valley Medical until her health declined. Her family meant everything to her and she was always there for them. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving Cindy is her husband, David Tollison, of the home; three daughters, Kimie Gallion and husband, Eric, of Pleasant Gardens, Elaina Ogle and fianc‚, Derek Creson, of the home and Lesley Tollison, also of the home; two brothers, Jim Epley and wife, Tonja and Sonny Epley and wife, Darlene, of Marion; two sisters, Carol Epley and Gail Ellis and husband, Jack, of Marion; three nephews, Mitchell Epley and Alex and Daniel Ellis; and three nieces; Amanda Epley and Lauren and Emily Presnell. A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. in Westmoreland Chapel, with the Revs. Preston Thomas and Marty Conner officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cherry Springs Memorial Park.
