Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Honeycutt Davis, 70, of Rutherfordton, passed away at her home Friday, Dec. 29, 2017.

Born in Asheville, April 5, 1947, Bobbie was the daughter of the late Arville and Carmen Honeycutt. Preceding her in death was her husband OF 43 years, Donald Paul Davis. Bobbie loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed to read, and loved to sing. Bobbie also loved to keep her nails well-manicured, and had a passion for jewelry.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her three sons, Tommy Johnson of Jefferson, S.C., Michael Johnson and wife, Margaret of Marion, and Samuel Johnson and wife, Michelle of Marion; two sisters, Mary Hudgins and husband, Carroll of Burnsville, Alice Penland and husband, Glen of Old Fort; and one special sister, who the family wants to give a special Thanks to, Elizabeth Wilson and husband, Parks of the home; three grandchildren, Kisha, Dustin, and Samantha Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Kiryn Johnson.

A funeral service will be held today (Sunday, Dec. 31), at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford at, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to her sister and best friend Elizabeth Wilson, and to the entire hospice staff, for the loving care given to Bobbie.
