Eva Mae Godfrey Holland Hudgins, 78, of Marion, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017. Her family was by her side as she left her Earthly Tabernacle and claimed her Eternal Home in Heaven where she now resides with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A lifelong resident of Marion, she was born March 18, 1939, to the late Ed and Addie McFalls Godfrey. She was a homemaker, beloved by the children she raised, nurtured and cared for.

A faithful member of Redeemed Free Will Baptist Church, she loved The Word, studying her Bible daily with a desire to be in God's will, each and every day, for as long as she was able. She loved her family, her church family, and truly never met a stranger. She just loved being with, and talking with, others. She was loved by everyone who knew her and her passing leaves a void in the lives of many.

Left to cherish the memories of a life well lived are her three children, Darlene Teaster (Randy) of Nebo, Donald Holland (Teresa) of Old Fort, and Kathy Saulmon of Marion; her brother and sister, John Godfrey and Virginia Seagle (Jimmy), both of Marion; three grandchildren, Stephen Teaster, and Kayla and Samantha Saulmon; and one great-grandson, Christopher Guffey Jr.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held at this time. Westmoreland Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. An online register is available at
