Ruby Virginia Frisbee Setzer MARION Ruby Virginia Frisbee Setzer of Marion went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 15, 2014, at the McDowell Hospital. A native of Madison County, N.C., Ruby was the daughter of the late Roy and Della Mae Maney Frisbee. Ruby was a beautiful person and a devout Christian who loved people and knew no strangers. She always had a smile to share and had the gift of finding the "silver lining" in any situation. She was such an inspiration to us all to keep smiling and to remember "that laughter is always the best medicine". She also loved being a member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church, where she especially enjoyed working with the youth there for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James "Jim" Setzer. She is survived by one daughter, Debra Setzer Richardson and husband, Bob, of Marion; six siblings, Rev. Kenneth Frisbee and wife, Betty, of Akron, Ohio, Ruth Edwards, of Marion, Betty Jo Hawkins, of Charlotte, Cecil Frisbee and wife, Frances, of Akron, Ohio, Bruce Frisbee and wife, Doris, of Marion and Bobby Frisbee and wife, Naomi, of Marion; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 19, at 3 p.m. at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church, with the Revs. Kenneth Frisbee and Milton Hollifield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Westmoreland Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. An online register is available under "Obituaries" at www. westmorelandfuneral

Ruby was one of the most wonderful people I have ever met, always a smile on her face and her laugh was contagious. A great christian lady, mother & wife.

Ruby was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. She always had a smile and you could see Christ in her life. Always had a hug for me when even after I got married and moved to Mint Hill, NC. When my children came along she was the first to welcome them into her Sunday School Class, even when they aged out of her class! She will be missed by all who knew and loved her I'm sure. There will be an empty spot on the left-hand side of the church when I visit again. Love in Christ - Doris Holland Miller
