Investigators need the public's help finding a female suspect who held up a Marion gas station Friday morning.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. today, law enforcement agencies were dispatched to West Court Food Center on US 221 South after receiving reports of an armed robbery that had just taken place.

According to Detective J.T. Grindstaff of the McDowell County Sheriff's Office, the suspect, described as a white female (5’2” to 5’3”, thin build) wearing a black hoodie, black Nike sweatpants, white shoes and a dark bandana over part of her face, held up the store with a black handgun and stolen an undisclosed amount of money. She left the area by an unknown mode of travel.
