A Marion woman was arrested and charged after a Crime Stoppers tip led to her arrest for stealing

Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Chanda Marie McFalls, 28, address listed as Styles Drive in Marion, with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

McFalls is accused of breaking into the home of her mother, Rhonda Heath, of Melody Haven Drive in Marion, on Saturday, Oct. 6 and stealing $2,200 worth of property, including hand and power tools, four leather coats, six motorcycle helmets and leather motorcycle chaps.

The suspect was arrested as the result of a McDowell County Crime Stoppers tip.

McFalls’ bond was set at $20,000.
