Deputies said Monday they arrested two people in connection with a stolen truck.

Lt. Burlin Ballew of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 32-year-old Adam Lee Harding, of 109 JR Circle in Marion, and 30-year-old Nisha Lucille Hollifield, of 144 Roy Hollifield Road in Marion, with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

At 12:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, Jerry Webb, of Christopher Road in Marion, reported that someone stole his 2006 Dodge Dakota truck from his driveway.

Shortly after the report was made, Ballew stopped a truck matching that description on Burma Road East in Marion.

Webb identified the Dodge as his, and the occupants – Harding and Hollifield – were taken into custody.

The truck, valued at $2,500, was recovered.

Both suspects were taken into custody under $10,000 bonds.
