It may not be Thanksgiving yet, but Foothills Community Theatre has a show that will jump start the holiday season.
Live performances of “A Christmas Carol” will take place this weekend and next at Greenlee Theater at MACA.
For the last few months, the multi-generational cast has been practicing the true-to-the-story play that director Ken Davis chose because of its authenticity.
“I really wanted us to perform this version of “A Christmas Carol,” because it’s the closest one that I could find to the book,” said Davis. “Through the show you’ll see Scrooge turn from this bird-like, cold-hearted creature to an actual human being. This production is darker than normal performances of “A Christmas Carol,” but that makes Scrooge’s transformation more believable.”
Performances of the show are Friday, Saturday, Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. A matinee of the show will take place on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for students.
