Foothills Community Theatre presents the original folk opera “Selkie and the Witchy Boy,” created by Freddy Bradburn. The play is based on the Celtic legend of the selkie, and is set on the Irish coast in the late 1500’s. A witch boy, who is the offspring of a witch and the wild wind, meets and falls in love with Fiona, a selkie. These star-crossed lovers battle the impossible to be together. The show features a live band, original tunes and a story rich in Irish folklore. Live performances are Friday, Saturday and Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m. at MACA. Tickets are $12 or $6 for FCT Passholders.
