During the week of Oct. 29, 1984, MACA moved from its old headquarters on Logan Street to a new location in the small building on Brown Drive. All of the artwork, furniture, office equipment and other items had to be transferred to the new headquarters for the arts council. MACA volunteers pitched in to help with the big moving job. In the photo on the left, MACA volunteer Gene Gallelli, who was also the principal of Marion Elementary at the time, looks around as he finishes up with his moving chores. In the photo on the right, MACA President Jim Miller unloads more boxes at the new building on Brown Drive. This same building will soon become the home of Mica Town Brewing, Marion’s first craft brewery.
