I’ve never considered myself someone who listened to gurus or self-help experts for advice.

I’m my own person. I have my own ideas of what is right and wrong, and no one is going to tell me what to do.

Then I discovered “And Especially You,” the new podcast recorded by actress and author Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine Media Company.

Each episode of the podcast features two to three speakers who tell their stories. They share their truths in hope of inspiring listeners to live their best lives.

Some of the topics covered so far include knowing your own worth, voicing your opinion even when it seems impossible and standing up for those who don’t have a voice.

Sophia Bush, who many may know as the character Brooke Davis from the CW show “One Tree Hill,” introduces each speaker on the podcast, offers brief intermissions between guests and even shares parts of her own story during some of the podcast’s later episodes.

If you’re looking for your inner voice or you want to rekindle your mojo after a bad situation of some sort, I recommend giving “And Especially You” a listen. I’m three episodes in and I feel wiser, stronger and supported by women who have shared their truths.

You can find episodes of “And Especially You” on iTunes or through the podcast app for Android phones. New episodes are released weekly and they’re not timely, so you can catch up and not feel like the stories are out of date.
