A Nebo woman was charged with possession of meth and heroin after a traffic stop.
Deputy Steven McPeters of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Danielle Leigh Turbyfill, 31, of Biggerstaff Loop in Nebo, with possession of methamphetamine and possession of heroin.
On the night of July 8, 2019, McPeters stopped a GMC Sierra on Stacy Farm Road in Nebo for traffic violations and found that the driver, identified as Turbyfill, had a suspended license, according to a news release.
McPeters and K-9 Kessy subsequently searched the vehicle and located a mixture of 2.52 grams of meth and heroin.
In July, McPeters, unsure of the identity of the substances, had them sent to a state lab for testing. Results revealed the controlled substances. Turbyfill was just recently charged.
Turbyfill got a $2,000 bond.
