City of Marion recognizes Main Street Champion

At the Tuesday, May 7 meeting, the Marion City Council recognized Beth Davis as the 2018 Main Street Champion.

Davis has served on the board of directors of the Marion Business Association since 2013. She has filled every officer position on the board and is a very active member of the Events and Promotions Committee, according to the MBA.

She is always promoting her favorite festival, Marion’s Liver Mush Festival. She volunteers at almost every downtown event. She is willing to wear costumes, serve beverages and most importantly clean-up after the event. She has been Volunteer of the Year for the past three years.

As head teller at First Citizens Bank, she is a strong champion of all MBA programs and especially encourages small businesses to join and take advantage of the MBA’s small business resources, according to the MBA.
