The Joseph McDowell Historical Catawba Greenway reopened on Friday morning, Jan. 4 after cleanup related to flooding in late December were completed.
City personnel completed the cleanup, including the removal of mud and silt on the Greenway. Mud and debris remains off of the Greenway walking surface and will be cleaned by the city as soon as the ground dries out to allow for access to those areas without causing damage.
The city of Marion thanks the public for their patience while the Greenway was closed, said City Manager Bob Boyette.
