These are two meeting dates that have been changed at the last minute due to the imminent threat of Hurricane Florence.
The Pilot Club of Marion meeting scheduled for Monday, Sept. 17 at Moondoggy’s has now been cancelled due to the threat of imminent inclement weather. The club will announce in the near future when the regular meeting for September will be held.
The McDowell County Republican Party’s grand opening/open house for the new headquarters scheduled for Monday, Sept. 17 has been rescheduled due to imminent inclement weather. The event will be held instead on Friday, Sept. 21 from 3 to 7 p.m. at 154 S. Main St. It is located two doors north of Westmoreland Funeral Home. Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available. Parking can be in the Westmoreland parking lot and across the street. This site will be open daily for voter information and registration information, until November.
The Joint Utility Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 13 at Marion City Hall has been rescheduled to Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Marion City Hall, located at 194 North Main St.
The Marion Tree Board meeting scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14 at 8 a.m. at Countryside Barbecue, located at 2070 Rutherford Road in Marion, has been postponed, due to preparations for Hurricane Florence. The Tree Board meeting will be rescheduled and a new meeting date and time announced in the near future.
