Julia Nunnally Duncan, local author, has a story “Night Visitor” featured in the June/July 2019 issue of Smoky Mountain Living magazine. “Night Visitor” is based on the author’s memory of her family’s camping trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in the 1960s. During this campout, an unusual and frightening event occurred.
“Smoky Mountain Living celebrates the Southern Appalachians’ people, culture, history, music, art, crafts and special places in six issues each year,” Duncan said in a news release. This magazine is currently available on magazine racks throughout the Appalachian region, and the Kindle edition is available at amazon.com.
Duncan is author of 10 books of prose and poetry. Her latest release is a poetry collection “A Neighborhood Changes,” which explores changes in the lives of people. Her forthcoming book “A Journey in Words: New and Collected Works” will be released by Red Dirt Press later this year.
