Updates on this year’s Old Fort Gold Festival and a business frontage façade grant program are among topics to be discussed at Monday’s Board of Alderman meeting.

According to this month’s agenda, Debra Millikan, event planner for the town’s Gold Festival in June, will address the board with current updates on the festivities.

The board will also discuss the possibility of a business frontage façade grant program – design assistance and exterior rehabilitation – to assist with businesses in Old Fort.

Ginger Webb of the Old Fort Community Forum is scheduled to speak on updates for recent projects.

Additionally, the board will provide information on a proposed planning board for the town.

The board also invites local citizens to participate in public comments. Persons interested in making comments are asked to complete a brief form and submit it to the Town Clerk prior to the meeting. Each speaker is asked to limit their comments to five minutes.

The Old Fort Board of Aldermen will meet this Monday at 5:30 p.m. in Town Hall. For more information, contact Town Hall at 668-4244.
