* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 3 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph across the northern North Carolina mountains.

* WHERE...Portions of western North Carolina.

* WHEN...From 5 AM to 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
