Marion City Council to receive 2019-2020 budget

The Marion City Council will receive the recommended 2019-2020 budget at the Tuesday meeting.

The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Hall.

The first item on the agenda will be an appearance from the McDowell Arts Council Association. Council members will also hear a request from Historic Carson House about the use of the Community Building.

The public comment period will follow. This is the time when the public can speak to council about any issue or item not on the agenda.

Council will then consider traffic schedule ordinance amendments and making appointments to advisory boards. City officials will then consider an easement for Dominion Energy.

City Manager Bob Boyette will next formally present the recommended budget for fiscal year 2019-2020.

He will then give his report to council.
