McDowell Chamber cuts ribbon for Peoples Home Equity

The McDowell Chamber of Commerce was pleased to celebrate the grand opening of Peoples Home Equity with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 14. The purpose of the occasion was to recognize new business owner, Brian Wilson, and celebrate his new journey.

The McDowell Chamber of Commerce was pleased to celebrate the grand opening of Peoples Home Equity with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 14.

The purpose of the occasion was to recognize new business owner, Brian Wilson, and celebrate his new journey. The ribbon cutting event was well attended, and included Brian’s wife, Sidney, and children, Andrew and Savannah. Several dignitaries and Chamber board members were also in attendance, according to a news release.

Wilson is a recent graduate of the Growing Entrepreneurs Marion (GEM) Program. After a lengthy career in corporate banking and finance, Wilson made the decision to step out on his own and open a new mortgage lending company.

He partnered with Peoples Home Equity, a Hickory-based firm to open a branch in Marion. In addition to providing mortgage solutions, Wilson is passionate about helping his clients make lending decisions that provide positive changes to financial lives.

Wilson looks forward to serving his community in providing a great home-buying experience.
