An Old Fort woman was charged for possession of meth during a vehicle stop.
Deputy Jared Cody of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Sarah Jean Shook, 24, of East Crawford Street in Old Fort, with possession of methamphetamine.
Cody stopped a vehicle on Veterans Drive at 1:56 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 because the tag was expired. Shook was the passenger, according to a news release.
Deputies searched the vehicle, and, in Shook’s purse, found .8 of a gram or less than a gram of methamphetamine.
Shook got a $5,000 bond.
