A Nebo teenager was charged after allegedly stealing a safe and thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry from his relatives, authorities said Friday.
Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Devon Cole Harwood, 17, address listed as Paradise Circle in Nebo with larceny, safecracking and possession of stolen goods.
Marvin and Robin Pace, of Paradise Circle in Marion, reported on Thursday, June 6 that someone removed a safe and jewelry, valued at a total of $11,659, from their residence.
An investigation led to the teen suspect, who is related to the victims.
Harwood’s bond was set at $15,000.
