A homeless man was charged after workers at a Marion concrete business found him inside one of their semi-trucks on the property, authorities said Wednesday.
Deputy Jordon Frisbee of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Darrell Minnis Shetley, 48, address listed as homeless, with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and attempted larceny of a motor vehicle.
Employees of Western Carolina Stone, on U.S. 221 North in Marion, reported on Monday, June 3 that they arrived at work to find a man inside one of the International semi-trucks sitting at the business.
The workers called for law enforcement and detained the man, later identified as Shetley, at the scene until deputies arrived.
Shetley’s bond was set at $15,000.
