Sheriff’s deputies search for runaway teen

UPDATE, 7:14 p.m.: Angyl Anne Skye Stevens has been located, the McDowell County Sheriff's office reports. The agency said it thanks the public for assistance.


McDowell County sheriff’s deputies are hunting for a runaway teen.

Angyl Anne Skye Stevens, 17, of Deer Park Road in Nebo, was last seen at McDowell High School on Friday, Dec. 20, where she attended all her classes. Her family reported her missing that afternoon when she didn’t return home on the bus, according to a news release.

She is described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has brown hair. She was last seen wearing jeans and a pink camouflage shirt.

Anyone with information concerning Stevens’s whereabouts is asked to call the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office at 652-2235 or the McDowell County 911 communications center at 652-4000.
