NEBO

Pauline Warren Martin, 84, of Nebo, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at her home. Her family was by her side when she transitioned from this side of eternity to her heavenly home. She is free of the cares of this world now and in the presence of her heavenly Father and reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Rev. James Martin, Jr.

She was born in Old Fort to the late Aubrey and Lilly Warren, April 18, 1935. Pauline loved her family and always put them first in her life. She was a member of True Faith Baptist Church, which her husband and she started. She enjoyed working her flower and vegetable gardens and canned lots of food. She was an excellent cook as anyone who dined at her home will attest. She was a prayer warrior and kept her family and friends in the forefront of her prayer life. Her strong spirit combined with a gentle nature will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren, who loved her and will miss her deeply.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joyce Elaine Martin; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Surviving are four daughters, Diane Dellinger and husband, Kenneth, of Forest City, Penny Stamey-Edwards of Nebo, Debbie Wilson of Nebo, and Barbara "Bobbie" Higgins and husband, William, of Glenwood; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion, with Pastor Tommy Hall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Solid Rock Mission Church Cemetery.
