NEBO Minnie Belle Fullwood Tate, 80 of Nebo passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at her residence. Mrs. Tate was born in McDowell County to the late William Harvey Fullwood and Mary Etta Hardy Fullwood. She was a member of St. John AME Church where she served as secretary, choir member, and a member of the women's missionaries. Mrs. Tate was a machinist for over 30 years with Leviton Southern Devices. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lester Tate. Mrs. Tate is survived by two sons, Don Tate of Nebo, and William E. Tate and wife, Janise, of Florida; one daughter, Barbara Ann Tate of Morganton; one brother, Robert L. Fullwood of Nebo; four grandchildren, Shelton and Shelisha Rutherford, Jamie Tate and Tiffany Trotter; seven great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 12 to 1 p.m., at St. John AME Church, prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., at St. John AME Church with the Rev. Nisha Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John AME Church Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, but those wishing to make memorial donations are asked to consider St. John AME Church.
